Alright, I am starting over again, both on the blog and in Weight Watchers. I signed up for Weight Watchers online. I had planned on starting today for awhile, but after trying on 3 different outfits this morning and none of them looking very good at all, it cemented the deal. Of course I decided to have chicken fried steak breakfast, so I am actually starting counting my points tomorrow.
Also school is out for summer, so I don't have to go back to work, except for a couple of pre-registration days. So I got a summer job. I am going to be waiting tables at a local pizza place. So hoping that doesn't impede the diet, but I think it should be manageable.

Still waiting for winter to be finished
So it has been a while and my new years resolution has been shot, but I am going to try to get back on the wagon... so to speak.
February and March have been crazy and trying and I just am ready for them to be over. My grandma and one of my uncles passed away withing 2 weeks of each other. It was not an unexpected situation for either of them, they both had terminal illnesses, but still it was a lot to have happen in such a short time.
On another note I took my Sonshine to see Spamalot, which he throughly enjoyed. It was nice to have some time just with him. Seems that he is growing up way too fast, a sophmore now! Now the girls want to see Wicked, but the closest place to go to that is like 12 hours drive. I promised we could go though, so in May I will be making another trip to the Theater, lol.
Also planning a vacation with the hubby. A weekend in Vegas to meet up with some friends. The funny thing is, other than us, I keep running into other people I know who are just happening to be going there at the same time, all for different reasons. Guess the world is just that small.

Well...Crap
Tonight I got all ready to go to volleyball, loaded up little and middle Z and got to the gym, just in time to get a call from my teammate asking if everything was ok, because I missed the game. UGGG!
It has been a kind of up and down week. My grandma is very ill and took a turn for the worse on Tuesday, but by today she is doing much better. It is kind of hit or miss on how she is feeling at any time during the day. The family is converging, and while it is good to see everyone there and getting along, it is unfortunate that all of this comes at such a sad time. Unfortunately I think it is all too often that is the case.

Slacking already
Ok, so not the end of January yet and I am already slacking on my goals. BUT I have been getting more things done, especially if I keep these goals in mind. So although it hasn't been a perfect process, steps have been made. I am still working on that embroidery fairy, and started knitting some leg warmers for middle Z. Those probably won't get finished, especially since I saw some at Kmart for less that 3 bucks a pair. I am sure my time is worth way more than that, especially when I just need the practice, but don't think the actual end product will be much to look at.
The exercise is a totally different story. I am not doing as well on that front, and I really need to make a concentrated effort for diet and exercise. Had to go buy a bigger size of pants, which didn't make me happy, but was necessary. May have to go back to WW. I am trying not to though, don't want to spend the money... especially when I can think of so many other things to buy. Speaking of buying things, I did not get the shoes from the previous post. Missed out while I was debating, guess it wasn't meant to be.

Decisions, Decisions
I found a pair of shoes, that are awesome. ON SALE!
The sad thing is that this sale is still more than I have ever paid for shoes, yep I am cheap. So I will wait and mull it over another night. The store says there is only one pair left in my size, so if it is meant to be mine, it will still be there tomorrow. If not, then someone else is getting a screaming deal on an awesome pair of shoes.

Volleyball, week 2
Well, had a double header in Volleyball tonight, lost 4 in a row, and sadly we actually are getting better. I also had to go back to work today, not fun, but necessary. Still need to get to my creativeness, didn't get that done yesterday so I HAVE to do something today. Some work on the fairy is in order I think.

Tuesday, another day down
So only one day left of vacation after today, and I kind of made use of my time. That and didn't get dressed until after noon, but that is ok, because I still got stuff done. My children all take turns doing the dishes, but sometimes the hand-off gets flubbed, and although it is the littlest Z's week, she hadn't done any of them yet, because the Middle Z left a whole bunch of pans to do. So I being the good mom I am, I did them all. Sadly it took me much longer than it should have, because I would put some in to "soak", and then go and use up all of my lives in Zuma Blitz on Facebook, then back to the dishes.
About noon today, my hip started to hurt, it needs to pop. I still walked on the treadmill, which may not have been a good idea because it is killing me now. It did pop once this evening, and it helped, but it still needs more. Hope it is better by morning.
Did some more embroidery on the fairy, but didn't take a picture. It is coming along, and I hope I like it well enough to finish it and send it off to the niece.

Monday,Monday
Back on the wagon again today, another treadmill walk, writing here and some embroidery. The embroidery is of a fairy, it was a coloring page that I found on the Internet. Hopefully it will turn out, but here is what it looks like now, along with the original picture.
I just got the green stems and the leaves done, but not too shabby. More than would be finished if I were doing it cross-stitch. I tried to get a closer up picture, but it was too dark.
Still didn't get anything done in the house, waiting until the last minute again. I actually had great plans to get things done, but then instead of getting up and doing them, I went back to sleep after everyone was gone this morning. I woke up to the phone ringing at 11. WHOOPS!

A lapse
Ok, so I took the weekend and did nothing! Of all the things on my list yesterday I did nothing, and today now I am writing and did have some physical activity this morning, so just skipping the creative.
Yesterday I went to the secondhand store and got a cute little green jacket and a cake pan for my friend who is starting up a baking business. A little square ruler and some T-pins, rounded out the purchase, not too shabby for $3.75. Then took the middle Z to a birthday party, after she, little Z and I went up to visit my grandma in the hospital. Then went out with my cousin and some friends to see a band downtown. One of the band members is married to another cousin of mine. The did an awesome job, but I didn't know alot of the songs they were playing anyway, so really how would I know?
A pretty quiet weekend, all in all. Guess starting tomorrow I am going to have to get busy and use my last 3 days off to get this house whipped back into shape.

Volleyball
So yesterday, even though I didn't write here, I did do everything on my list. I bought a pocket calendar for a daily record, so I won't have to update here everyday. It may be less posting here, but will hopefully mean more interesting things... or maybe not, I don't promise entertainment here.
So I joined a leisure volleyball league. Tonight was our first game, and we lost to a team that called themselves "Over the Hill". I still don't think we did too bad, especially me, since I haven't played volleyball since Jr. High. I also went and loaded up all my bobbins, to keep working on my loom. I will have that fabric off of it by the end of the month if I keep working on it like I have been. Well that is the hope then anyway.

Finally some Inspiration
Today as I was driving to an appointment, I was stopped at a stop sign. While sitting there, waiting for my turn to go, I watched the drivers passing by me and there it was, inspiration. In a small silver car, there was a woman, driving down the road, wiping the tears from her eyes, behind her dark rimmed glasses. It just got me thinking about everything we do in our cars, not expecting to be observed. Also, what caused it? Kind of nosy I know, but it could be so many things. So I started a story, don't know where it is going just yet, but I started and that is all that I am worried about.

One more day down
So again today I did the treadmill for a half an hour PLUS bowling tonight. Two exercise activities, maybe I can bank one for a day when I am less motivated! I also did about 40 minutes of weaving on the loom. Got to advance it and finished one of the bobbins. Hopefully I can get the last couple of bobbins empty and head over to my teachers house to wind up some more later this week.
It is the writing thing that is kind of kicking my butt right now. I really meant it to be the start of some stories, but so far all I have done is write here. Not that that is a bad thing, and I suppose it is still early in the year. Just don't want to get stuck in a rut already.

Day 2 and on a Roll!
WOOT!
Second day, and writing something again. Did the treadmill, but still procrastinating on the creative/crafty thing. Still there is 2 hours left in the evening, plenty of time to do a row or two on the loom or the current baby cross stitch.
Ok so the writing something doesn't mean a book or even more than a couple of sentences, but it is in the practice of getting something, anything down, that I need to work on. So until tomorrow :D

Another New Start
Alright, so my restart over a year ago didn't work very well, but this year as a resolution I have decided that every day I need to do 3 things.
1. Do some kind of physical activity or exercise
2. Do something crafty or creative
3. Write something every day.
Hopefully with these "resolutions" in place, if all else fails, I may still update a blog more than once a year... maybe... no promises.
As far as the second thing on the list, I have a lot of projects that need to be finished, but as the self-proclaimed queen of procrastination, they just haven't even gotten close to finished. I own my BIL and SIL their wedding cross-stitch and they have been married over 5 years. I need to finish 2 baby gift cross-stitches, one of the girls is 3 and the other will be 2 in May. There is no reason they aren't done, other than the fact I just keep putting it off. This year I want it to be different, so as long as I do something, be it one row, a few stitches, SOMETHING on one of the 3 they should get done this year!
Oh and I did start on number 1, half an hour on the treadmill this morning. So now I have written something, I just need to dig out a project, I have 2 hours left in the day, plenty of time!
Everyone wish me luck.
